The BIOPOLY Cluster will take part in the International Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy (IFIB 2026), taking place in Rome on 1–2 October 2026.
The cluster brings together four European projects – POLYMEER, BIOPYRANIA, POLYMERS-5B and FURIOUS – which are developing complementary approaches to convert second-generation biomass and renewable building blocks into high-performance bio-based polymers for demanding industrial applications.
During the event, the cluster will present the poster “From Biomass to High-Performance Polymers: Four Complementary Pathways within the BIOPOLY Cluster”, showcasing the different technological pathways explored by the four projects and highlighting their shared contribution to advancing innovative and sustainable polymer solutions.
The BIOPOLY Cluster will be represented in Rome by Assunta Marrocchi, Coordinator of POLYMEER, and Debora Puglia, Coordinator of FURIOUS, who will present the joint work and foster exchanges with stakeholders from the industrial biotechnology and bioeconomy community.
