BIOPYRANIA successfully participated in the 4th edition of “Polymers: From Sustainability to Smart Systems”, held from 8 to 10 April 2026 in Lisbon, Portugal, a key international forum bringing together leading voices from research, academia, and industry to explore the latest advancements in polymer science.

Our participation was made possible thanks to the support and presence of Assunta Marrocchi (University of Perugia) coordinator of the POLYMEER project, together with the POLYMERS-5B Project Coordinator, Prof. Luís Joaquim Pina da Fonseca, who were among the conference’s Keynote Speakers. Their contribution highlights the strong scientific excellence and strategic relevance of the BIOPOLY cluster at the European level, positioning our joint work at the forefront of innovation in sustainable and smart polymer systems.

During the conference, BIOPYRANIA actively contributed alongside partners from the BIOPOLY cluster through a joint poster, showcasing ongoing activities, shared methodologies, and the synergies developed across projects. This collaborative effort demonstrated how cross-project integration can accelerate the development of sustainable materials and foster impactful solutions across sectors such as energy, environment, and advanced manufacturing.

The event provided a valuable platform to:
