On 17 April, the second webinar organised by the BIOPOLY Cluster was successfully held, bringing together key projects, including BIOPYRANIA, POLYMEER, and POLYMERS-5B.

Titled “From Waste to Performance: Designing Bio-Based Polymers for Real Applications”, the webinar explored how bio-based polymers can transition from laboratory innovation to real-world implementation. The session highlighted how underutilised biomass and industrial by-products can be transformed into advanced materials delivering tangible environmental benefits.

The webinar provided valuable insights into a variety of feedstock types and showcased complementary technological approaches developed across the BIOPOLY Cluster projects. Discussions emphasised the importance of cross-project collaboration in accelerating the uptake of sustainable, high-performance bio-based solutions.

The session proved to be highly insightful, with a strong level of engagement from the audience. Participants showed great interest in the topic and actively contributed to the Q&A session, fostering a dynamic and interactive exchange with the speakers.
